My self Anand , i will share my experience regarding the epic journey form
Bangalore to Varanasi .
Route Followed :- Bangalore - Secundrabad - Allahabad (Triveni sangam) -Gaya (Bihar)- west bengal(Kolkatta) - varanasi -secundrabad- Gulbarga- Bijapur- Bangalore .
Description :-
I started my journey by 8th august All alone(never traveled north India) ,i reached Secundrabad on morning 9th Aug 7.00am , the train to Allahabad was at 10.00 am , so i went to near lodge just paid 100rs and got fresh up . Form there i got train to Allahabad got few friends in train was to chat and discuss ,
I did two things which i never did before in my life , i pulled the train chain to save a child from injury and stopped the train , also on nagarpanchami i holded the cobra in my hands(snack , whose teeth was removed)
yet thats great thing for me.
I reached Allahabad on10th August by 11.00am in morning ,there i kept my luggage in clock room had bath in station itself , (the station bathroom was clean ) and went to triveni sangam , It was awesome to see the river ganges , i met 3 army officiers with them i took boat and went on the boat , after seeing the water got excited jumped in to the water for swimming , it was awesome experience to swim in ganga , yamuna sangam , and later there is a standwhere the boat guy will took us ,there for stand they charge 20rs , and the pandits are really maney snatchers , so dont talk with them ,they will emotionally blackmail, they will say 50 rs at first and in middle they will ask money like any thing , they have made the place very commercial , so dont go for these fake pandits , God never wants anything form us , he gave every thing how can we dare to offer coconuts and pujas to him who has given us everything , what he wants is just pure heart , so i prayed for the welfare of my family and all the people in the world . And then i made a move, it was 3.00 i went to bade hanuman temple , its very auspisious , from there i went to prayaag Alopi shakti peetha , it is the awesome energy peetha , i visited almost all the temple in that area , I was lucky enough to attend Durga aarati , shiv Aarati and finally darshan of Maa Alopi .... later there only one ram sita temple is there which is very old , its very nice dont miss to visit the same . After visiting every thing it was 8.30 my train was at 11.00 from allahabad to gaya , so i got the the local tum tum and went to railway station , there also as i have too much time i visited sai temple near railway staion even it was awesome (Fragrance). I Had my lunch at one good hotel and had lassi , lassi will be good it will be provided in mud pot so try that near railway station.Finally i say Bye bye to Allahabad.
Day2 :-
I reached gaya in the morning 6.30 , i went to logde and got freshed upi saimilarly i kept my luggage in clock room and visited all the bodh temples , there are 12 boodh temples so its better to take a rikshaw he will take only 20rs from the gaya stop to main temple , but i felt its worth to spend 150 and ask him to show all the temples , Although the temples were near he devotes his entire time and explains all the significance of the places .
you can take photos in all the temples except main temple , main temple is awesome , i meditated for 3hrs there , you will see the boodh vriksha were gautham buddha use to meditate ...
After visiting all the Buddha temples i visited vishnupad temple , it is one of the place where the people will get moksha , i got the pooja done for forefather , and prayed for there welfare (Even though i wont belive in following blind rituals i did it .)
It was night and i was wandering around Gaya station .Got the train around 11.30pm before that I Had my dinner .
Day3
I reached kolkatta in the morning around 9.30am .. I went and purchased the travel map of kolkatta , went outside the station , the station is very close to howrah bridge , here I drank lemon Juice which was very cheap (just 5rs), then later i got the local bus and went near kolkatta market area , where i booked the lodge . lodge rents were 400rs/day . and then i got ready and then visited to my place
I will continue the rest of the story soon ..
